  2.      Help for the SCAN file menu, or what keys do what.

  4. (H)     If you're reading this, you know what it does...
  5.  
  6. (1)     Downloads ScanV, the latest version of McAfee's virus scan.
  7.         This can detect well over 1000 viruses, including "unknown" or new
  8.         viruses.  If you find a virus, you can remove it with CleanUp (below)
  9.         (NOTE:  If you get a virus called "GenF", PLEASE copy an infected
  10.         file and send it to McAfee for removal details!)
  11.  
  12. (2)     Downloads CleanUp, the latest version of McAfee's virus remover.
  13.         This will remove, often with NO damage, most of the viruses detected
  14.         by ScanV.
  15.  
  16. (3)     Downloads WScan, the latest ScanV for Windows!  This does everything
  17.         ScanV does, but is set up for use from the Windows GUI.  It includes
  18.         a Scan icon, both english and french responses, and more!  A must for
  19.         Windows users!
  20.  
  21. (4)     Downloads VShield, the latest TSR (memory resident) virus detector.
  22.         This program will watch for known virus activity while you run your
  23.         normal software, and unless it finds something it remains invisible.
  24.         Very handy if you don't want to hand-scan everything.
  25.  
  26. (5)     Downloads NetScan, the latest virus detector for Local Area Networks
  27.         (LANs).  Works with any NetBIOS compatible network.
  28.  
  29. (M)     Message to Nick.  Sends a private message to the sysop of this BBS,
  30.         however it will be sent with the name of SCAN, so if you want a
  31.         reply, be sure to leave a real name, and perhaps a phone number.  Not
  32.         all messages will merit a callback (my bills are bad enough), but I
  33.         will do my best to help out with questions.

  35. (G)     Goodbye.  This simply logs you off the system, displaying info on how
  36.         to get in touch with the authors, and registration info.
